Darla was adopted from GSR 3 years ago and is reluctantly being returned. She does not like being hugged by the special needs child in her home, and would do best in a home with older respectful children. Darla is about 4 years old, spayed, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on heartworm prevention. She lives with a male GSD and enjoys playing with him and of course bossing him around like a typical female! Darla loves a comfy couch and belly rubs. She likes to go for walks and to find hidden treats around the house (“seek”). Darla knows basic commands (sit, stay, down, stand, wait, come, touch, place, go to bed). She is working on “leave it”. Darla will go right into her crate to be fed and when we leave the house (with a kong/treat). She is friendly with strangers and new dogs. Darla likes bones and raw hides; she’s not really into toys or chewing. Darla loves chasing squirrels and bunnies in her yard. She could be ok in apartment living if someone took her for several walks a day. Darla loves car rides and is even used to RV living! Once in awhile Darla will find a shoe that sparks her fancy, or a snack on the counter. She is truly a sweet, good girl that will make a great companion.
