10 month old Lloyd was surrendered to animal control with his sister. To say these dogs have been through a lot in their short lives is an understatement. Both dogs have scars from having their muzzles tied shut! Fast-forward a few weeks and both dogs are in fabulous foster homes awaiting adoption. We asked Lloyd’s foster mom for an update: rowdy, silly, happy, and affectionate all in one white tornado. He will clean countertops, rearrange book shelves, dance on coffee tables, boomerang on/off the couch, zoom around the house, steal laundry and all other puppy shenanigans you can think of, all in the name of FUN! When that’s over with, he will snuggle up like the big baby he is! There is an “off” switch. Lloyd’s the total puppy package. Lloyd’s body and mind must be vigorously exercised every day. He is treat motivated and loves to learn new things. Lloyd is house-trained and crate-trained. He is fostered with 3 large adult male dogs and does well with them. Lloyd loves to play with other young dogs of similar energy level. Obedience training and a fenced yard (visible fence) are a requirement. Lloyd is a love, but would be too much dog (at the current time) for small children. He would do best in a home with children 10 years old or older who are dog savvy. (Lloyd’s foster home has a kitty, but so far the kitty is keeping her distance – and Lloyd really doesn’t have access to her at this time.) Lloyd currently weighs 70 pounds and is growing! Both he and his sister came to animal control emaciated. He’s going to be a nice, stocky dude when he grows up. If all this sounds groovy to you, please complete an adoption application AND include the reasons you are a good fit for this loveable gangsta we call Lloyd!
